Responsibilities
- Understand, sign and comply with all company Loading, Blasting and Explosives Magazine SOP’s
- Comply with directions given by Blasting Foreman
- Hold the following valid certifications:
- “British Columbia Ministry of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation” Surface blasting ticket
- Supervisors ticket (asset)
- Standard first aid (asset)
- TDG
- WHIMIS
- Provide feedback on provided production and blasting schedules
- Understand and comply, to best of their ability, blasting and production schedules to be provided
- Guiding drills to and from any redrills
- Complete weekly magazine inspections
- Ensure all holes are to designed depth
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years surface blasting experience
- Must be familiar with working within a Mine Operations team
- Be extensively knowledgeable in the use of:
- iKon detonators, programming and initiation
- Non-Electric detonators, tie in and initiation
- Bulk emulsion loading
- Bulk ANFO loading
