Canmag Industries Inc. is a Canadian private company. The Company is the owner and operator of a magnetite production plant that is located at the Mount Polley Copper mine in Likely, British Columbia. The Company has an agreement with the Mount Polley Copper mine, whereby we are provided with their copper tail feed and can extract the magnetite for commercial purposes. Responsibilities

The Plant Manager will provide overall leadership of the production team will overseeing all daily operations of the plant including safety, quality, production, maintenance, metallurgical processes, training & human resources.
• Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed company & customers’ expectations
• Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards
• Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
• Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
• Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
• Develop open and communicative relationships with both the executive and operations teams and recruit, manage and develop plant staff
• Develop & commit to plant safety procedures
• Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
• Address employees’ issues or grievances and find suitable, equitable solutions.
• Influence and learn from above and below (executive & operations)

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Plant Manager
• Proven managerial experience
• Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
• Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
• Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, and inventory processes
• Computer literacy
• Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
• Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills
• BS degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, or equivalent experience.
